EventSouthern Highlands Food & Wine Festival

In what was one the biggest tourism weekends in the Southern Highlands, the 8th Annual Southern Highlands Food & Wine Festival will be held 5-6 October 2019.

Once again the festival will be held at the iconic Bradman Oval in the heart of Bowral. With over 60 stalls showcasing everything from wine, beer, cider, spirits, olives, cheeses, meats, honey, through to cafes, restaurants and producers cooking up a storm. Live music will be featured along with local chef cooking demonstrations to round out what is going to be another super weekend.

The 2019 Southern Highlands Food & Wine Festival will be held on
Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October 2019. Tickets will be available soon.

The food and wine festival continues to thrive due to the passion and commitment of the Southern Highlands producers who proudly showcase the best the region has to offer each year. The success of the festival every year is also due in a large part to the support of the Bradman Foundation and staff, Challenge Southern Highlands and the Rural Fire Service.


The Southern Highlands Food and Wine Association is seeking applications from musicians who would like to entertain the crowds at the 2019 Food & Wine Festival at Brandman Oval on 5-6 October.

This year there will be two music stations situated amongst the stalls and patrons so guests can sit back and enjoy not only the food and wine but the entertainment too. The objective in 2019 is to increase the ‘festival’ vibe of the event and have the musicians amongst the crowds to add to the ambience.

There is a limited number of slots available, each slot is for 2 hours (@10 minutes to bump-in and 10 minutes to bump-out with 1.5 hours playing time). You are required to bring your own sound equipment. You can display your own advertising material, sell your music and hand out information to the crowd. At the Southern Highlands Food and Wine Festival in 2019 there will be the opportunity for local chefs to conduct their own cooking demonstration. We are asking for local chefs to nominate their interest along with some information about how they might demonstrate their signature dish, the dish they are most passionate about or a dish that highlights local produce.
